Singapore is much more than the sum of its numerous attractions. It's constantly evolving, reinventing, and reimagining itself, with people who are passionate about creating new possibilities.

Also known as the Lion City or the city of Little Red dot in South East Asia, this city is the only island city state of the world. This city is a global finance, commerce as well as transportation hub. It has always been ranked highly in the fields of life expectancy, personal safety, healthcare, education etc. Singapore has always given utmost priority to the fields of education and firmly believes in educating its population in the fields of science and technology, health and medicine, economics and finance, social science and humanities, business and politics etc. The main idea behind educating it masses is that educated masses will become educated citizens and will ultimately contribute towards the country's economy and can pave the path for a better and healthier tomorrow. And events, conferences and seminars play a vital role in educating the masses because it provides a global platform where people belonging to various technical, non-technical as well as political background assemble to share their work and research with others.

Singapore is a small-but-prosperous island nation, both a city and a country, located just off the southern tip of Peninsular Malaysia in Southeast Asia. Singapore's standings include: the most "technology-ready" nation (WEF), top International-meetings city (UIA), city with "best investment potential" (BERI), world's smartest city, world's safest country, third-most competitive country, third-largest foreign exchange market, third-largest financial centre, third-largest oil refining and trading centre and the second-busiest container port. The country has also been identified as a tax haven.

The English name of Singapore is an anglicisation of the native Malay name for the country, Singapura, which was in turn derived from Sanskrit, hence the customary reference to the nation as the Lion City, and its inclusion in many of the nation's symbols (e.g., its coat of arms, Merlion emblem). However, it is unlikely that lions ever lived on the island.Singapore is a progressive island where one can witness the vibrant fusion of cultures, ethnicity, communities and most importantly, people. The place is a complete package full of excitement, surprises and charm, especially for the first time visitors.

Spread 42 km east to west and 23 km north to south, today Singapore is one of the world's leading shipping and banking hub on the economic front. This garden city is also a melting pot of cultures, combining together different ideas, cuisines, new architectures going well with the gleaming hint of old school. One can witness the Chinese, Indian, Malay and European influence in the daily life of Singapore adding to its charm. The incredible shopping malls, classy boutiques, departmental stores on Orchard Road, the exotic elements of Chinatown and Little India and the world-class nightlife span across the spotless land of Singapore. Expensive with respect to South-eastern standards, the city offers a plethora of other options for entertainment such as Sentosa Island, Singapore Zoo, Botanic Garden, Marina Bay Sands, Tiger Balm Garden, Night Market etc. With picture-perfect skyline and city centre bustling with people, Singapore is an amazing destination offering everything a traveller could think of.
